Israel’s Security Cabinet is meeting this afternoon to discuss the Gazan tensions and escalations. Gazans fired over 150 rockets into southern Israel since last night. While ceasefire talks were being negotiated earlier this week, this morning Egyptian intelligence officially informed Israel that Hamas opposes calm. A senior Israeli army official also warned this morning that Israel was nearing a full-blown military confrontation in the Gaza Strip, adding that the government could begin evacuating local communities.Maj.
