The Jerusalem Municipality announced that the first stage of the “Silicon Wadi” project, an initiative designed to set up industrial and business zones in east Jerusalem, is underway.
According to the municipality, the project includes plans to widen industrial, commercial and hospitality centers in the area, with an emphasis on high tech. It also aims to create employment opportunities and strengthen trust between the population and the municipality.
Deputy Mayor Fleur Hassan-Nahoum will discuss the project and its significance, and the opposition of Palestinian-owned businesses in buildings that are expected to be demolished in the process.
Fleur Hassan-Nahoum is Deputy Mayor of Jerusalem, in charge of foreign relations, international economic development and tourism.
