The Samaritans, a small sect with ancient roots in Judaism, are a unique and fascinating community. 50% of them live in Holon and identify as Israeli, while the other half lives outside of Nablus/Shechem on Mount Grizim and identify as Palestinian. Most Samaritans speak Arabic and Modern Hebrew (for liturgical purposes, Samaritan Hebrew, Samaritan Aramaic and Samaritan Arabic are used).
