After a seven year civil war full of bloodshed, the Syrian regime, led by President Bashar al-Assad, seems to have regained its stability with the help of allies such as Russia and Iran.
On Oct.14 it was announced that Jordan and Syria have agreed to reopen the Naseeb Crossing, three years after the commercial lifeline fell to rebel groups and traffic was halted.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to meet with Russian President Putin for the first time since a Russian reconnaissance plane was shot down over Syrian airspace a few weeks ago.
