Increasing Tensions Throughout the West Bank: Towards a Third Intifada? Col. (res.) Shlomo Mofaz & Col. (res.) Dr. Moshe Elad

Since the beginning of the year, more than 300 large-scale terror attacks were thwarted by Israeli forces. Lately, there has been a massive increase in shooting attacks against civilians in the West Bank.

Col. (res.) Shlomo Mofaz and Col. (res.) Dr. Moshe Elad will discuss the rising tensions, the possible connection to the weakening of the Palestinian Authority, the growing threat as the Jewish high holidays approach, and the possibility of further escalation.

Colonel (res.) Mofaz serves as the director of the Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center. He is the former head of the Counter Terrorism Analysis Department in the Military Intelligence Directorate of the IDF.

Col. (res.) Dr. Moshe Elad previously served as Head of Security Coordination to the Palestinian Authority in the IDF, as well as Head of Civil Administration in Bethlehem and Jenin. Dr. Elad also served as Arab Affairs Advisor at the Ministry of Defense. He specializes in Israel’s National Security Policy and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
