Due to U.S. National Security Advisor, John Bolton’s, press conference, our phone conference is being rescheduled for 12:30PM

U.S. National Security Advisor, John Bolton, Russia’s Secretary of the Security Council, Nikolai Patrushev, and Israeli Chairman of the Security Council, Meir Ben-Shabbat will meet in Jerusalem June 24-6, to discuss “regional security issues”.

Prime Minister Netanyahu hailed the meeting as “historic and unprecedented,” calling it an important step to secure “stability in the Middle East during turbulent times.” He added that the meeting of the world’s greatest superpowers in Jerusalem “greatly attests to the current international standing of Israel among the nations” as well.

Colonel (res.) Dr. Eran Lerman will discuss the regional significance of the summit.

Colonel (res.) Dr. Lerman was deputy director for foreign policy and international affairs at the National Security Council in the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office. He held senior posts in IDF Military Intelligence for over 20 years. He also served for eight years as director of the Israel and Middle East office of the American Jewish Committee. He teaches in the Middle East studies program at Shalem College in Jerusalem, and in post-graduate programs at Tel Aviv University and the National Defense College. He is an expert on Israel’s foreign relations, and on the Middle East. A third-generation Sabra, he holds a Ph.D. from the London School of Economics, and a mid-career MPA from Harvard University.
