Amid weeks of tension on the Lebanese border, several anti-tank missiles were fired by Hezbollah from Lebanon towards an IDF base and military vehicles. In response, the IDF fired at Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon and ordered residents living within 4 kilometers of the border to remain in their homes and open their bomb shelters.

Dr. Yossi Mansharof is a research associate at the Ezri Center for Iran and Persian Gulf Studies since 2010. He was a senior research fellow at the Iranian desk of the Middle East Media Research Institute and a terror-financing expert at the law firm MM-LAW LLC. His PhD research, titled “Transnational Pro-Iranian Shiite Networks in The Persian Gulf: 1963-1989”, deals with the relations between Iran and the Shiite communities of the Persian Gulf. Since 2018 Dr. Mansharof is an Iran and Political Shiite Islam expert at the Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security (JISS). His research field includes Iran, Hezbollah and Shiite militias.
