IdanHanegev is the first Jewish-Bedouin industrial park was laid in 2012. The site located between Lehavim and the Bedouin town of Rahat is slated to host 130 factories, a hospital and a vocational college. One of its expressed goals is to provide employment for the Bedouin community.
Sodastream is one of the primary employers having recently relocated to Idan Hanegev from Mishor Adumim where it had employed hundreds of Palestinians, some of whom now travel to the Negev to work everyday. In addition to new workers from the Bedouin Bedouin community specially young men and women. Also, Cargal packaging company also announced that it is willing to move their factory, situated in Lod to a new industrial park.
