The bus will leave from MediaCentral at 8am
The August 2005 disengagement from the well established communities of the Gush Katif area marks ten years since the state mandated that 10,000 residents from 21 Gaza Strip and four northern Samaria settlements be uprooted from their homes.
There has been a lot of criticism from the former residents and various agencies about the way in which they argue the relocation programs were mismanaged or abandoned, leaving people without permanent homes and stable employment for many years.
We will meet with some of the leaders of the Gush Katif communities and find out what has happened to them over the last decade. In addition, the former IDF commander of the area will discuss the security situation since the withdrawal from the area.
